Its styling is straightforward and unmistakably British, while its off-road capabilities are unmatched, living up to the slogan, «the best four by four by far.»To expand into the South American market, Land Rover formed a partnership with Santana Motors in the late 1950s, supplying complete knock-down kits. These kits, manufactured in England, were then assembled by Santana in South America. By the 1970s, Santana began designing its own parts for the Series III models, making parts compatibility more challenging. However, the Series II vehicles assembled in the 1960s remained true to Land Rover’s original design, so parts availability for these models is still excellent an entirely interchangeable with Solihull built vehicles.This 1967 Land Rover Santana Series IIa has just undergone a comprehensive nut-and-bolt, frame-off restoration.
